- OM: Open Merit
- RBA: Residents of Backward Areas
- SC: Scheduled Caste
- ST-1/ST-2: Scheduled Tribes (different subcategories)
- ALC/IB: Actual Line of Control/International Border
- OBC: Other Backward Classes
- EWS: Economically Weaker Sections
Application Form:
Individuals who are seeking a job as a Lecturer within the J&K SED should know that the window to apply is available on the official website at https://jkpsc.nic.in/ from December 10, 2024, to January 09, 2025. The correction window for the applicants will be available from January 10 to 12, 2025, to make changes in the application form, if required.
Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility for recruitment of Lecturer under the J&K School Education Department is available below in terms of educational qualification and age limit.
Educational Qualification:
- The candidate must have pursued Master’s degree in the relevant discipline from a university/institution recognised by the UGC with at least 55% score as aggregate, the minimum requirement for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD is only 50%.
- Additionally, the individual must have passed the National Eligibility Test or State Eligibility Test, conducted by the recognized body; those who have pursued PhD aren’t required to have qualified for the NET/SET.
Age Limit:
- One’s age shouldn’t be below 21 years and 40 years as of January 01, 2025.
- The upper age relaxation is applicable for 2 and 3 years for PwBD and SC/ST/RBA/ALC/IB/OBC.
Application Fee:
In order to apply for the recruitment of Lecturer under the J&K SED, a candidate will have to pay the application fee of ₹1,200/- using a debit card, credit card, or any other provided payment gateway. Individuals who belong to Reserved categories are required to deposit only ₹700/-, and the PwBD candidates are exempted from this payment.
Selection Process:
The selection process for recruitment of Lecturer under the J&K SED consists of multiple stages, which are Written Exam and Document Verification. Individuals who will apply will be called for the first stage, which will be followed by the DV, and then the final selection list will be prepared.
Pay Scale:
Individuals who will be appointed Lecturer within the Jammu & Kashmir School Education Department will get the monthly salary range from ₹52,700/- to ₹1,66,700/- under the Pay Level 9, with additional benefits such as Dearness Allowance, Home Rent Allowance, Medical Benefits, and etc,.
