Cut Off Marks 

A total of 100 MCQs were asked in the written exam for the post of SU conducted by the SLPRB Assam, each question was of 1 mark i.e. the total marks of the exam were 100. To qualify in the exam, a student needs to score cut off marks or more, it is expected that the cut off marks for General Category candidates may be between 68 and 75 marks.

What Next?

After the result of the written exam conducted by the SLPRB Assam against the post of SI is released, the qualified candidates will be called for Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test for which the candidates will also have to carry the necessary documents. It is expected that the second stage of the selection process will be held in March or April 2025.

PST & PET Details 

Candidates are required to know that the Physical Standard Test is qualifying, individuals who will meet the height and chest requirement will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test. You may check the details about each by going through the listed points.

Physical Standard Test (PST):

  1. Height:
    • Male: Minimum 162.56 cm (General/OBC/MOBC/SC), 160.02 cm (ST)
    • Female: Minimum 154.94 cm (General/OBC/MOBC/SC), 152.40 cm (ST)
  2. Chest (For Male only):
    • General/OBC/MOBC/SC/ST (P):
      • Normal: 80 cm
      • Expanded: 85 cm
    • ST (H):
      • Normal: 78 cm
      • Expanded: 83 cm
  3. Medical Checkup: Includes tests for physical deformities (e.g., knocked knees, vision, flat feet, varicose veins).

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

  1. Male Candidates:
    • 1600-meter race: Must be completed in 450 seconds (7.5 minutes).
    • Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm (3 attempts, longest valid jump considered).
  2. Female Candidates:
    • 800-meter race: Must be completed in 240 seconds (4 minutes).
    • Long Jump: Minimum 244 cm (3 attempts, longest valid jump considered).

PET Marking Scheme 

Candidates may check the marking scheme for the Physical Efficiency Test by going through the listed points.

Male Candidates:

  1. 1600-meter race (Max 20 marks):
    • 300 seconds or less: 20 marks
    • Marks decrease for every 30 seconds over 300 seconds, down to 10 marks for 450 seconds.
    • No marks for more than 450 seconds.
  2. Long Jump (Max 10 marks):
    • 335 cm: 10 marks
    • Marks increase for every extra cm (up to 500 cm)

Female Candidates:

  1. 800-meter race (Max 20 marks):
    • 160 seconds or less: 20 marks
    • Marks decrease for every 20 seconds over 160 seconds, down to 10 marks for 240 seconds.
    • No marks for more than 240 seconds.
  2. Long Jump (Max 10 marks):
    • 244 cm: 10 marks
    • Marks increase for every extra cm (up to 389 cm).
    • More than 389 cm: 20 marks.
